WACOCELL® Product Characteristics

WACOCELL® Standard, WACOCELL ® Knitting, WACOCELL ® Layer and WACOCELL® Puffy are the four products that make up the WACOCELL ® family of haemostats. Over the last 50 years the Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose haemostats have consistently demonstrated their ability to stop surgical bleeding. Today, they are widely used and trusted by surgeons to achieve effective haemostasis throughout the world.
  • The range of WACOCELL ® Absorbable Haemostats provide a unique combination of absorbability, bactericidal properties and haemostatic effectiveness.
  • They are safe, and can be relied on with confidence to achieve effective haemostasis. They help you focus on the procedure, not the bleed
  • The WACOCELL ® family of Absorbable Haemostats are all Class III Medical Devices made from a sterile absorbable knitted fabric prepared by the controlled oxidation of regenerated cellulose.
  • The fabric is white with a pale yellow cast and has a faint, caramel-like aroma.
  • All WACOCELL ® haemostats are made from plant- derived ORC, which gives the WACOCELL ® family of haemostats their haemostatic, bioabsorbent and antimicrobial properties.
